Peanut Butter and Jam Smoothie

This recipe was inspired by Eleanor Ozich's recipe in Viva Magazine


For the Jam

1/2 cup frozen or fresh berries of choice (I used strawberries). If using frozen, thaw these out before hand.

1 Tbsp chia seeds

1 tsp honey or other sweetener (I used natvia)

For the Smoothie

1 cup coconut milk

1 heaped Tbsp of peanut butter

1/2 frozen courgette

1/2 frozen banana

2 scoops of Nuzest Clean Lean Protein

1 Tbsp Hempfarm NZ Protein Oil (you can also use flax oil, regular hemp oil or even olive oil).


Mash the berries with the chia seeds and sweetener and let sit for at least an hour. Add a bit of water if not liquid enough. You could even do this the night before.

Add the smoothie ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.

Add a tablespoon or two of the jam mixture to your smoothie cup. Top with the smoothie mixture and then add the rest of the jam mixture on top.
